From 2019 to 2023, the team of the chair of school pedagogy evaluated effects and conditions of using Augmented Reality in school lessons at European schools in an interdisciplinary research consortium with nine parters. The results of the final review now confirm the success of this international research project.

During his visit to the University of Wuerzburg, the Minister of State of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Dr. Jens Brandenburg, was introduced to the innovative research concepts within the Project CoTeach - Connected Teacher Education. Professor Silke Grafe and Kristina Foerster presented the interculturally focused pedagogical concept for a professional development workshop for university teachers in and with social VR.
The Minister of State also had the opportunity to explore the various interaction possibilities in the virtual environment ViLeArn.

On April 29, 2022, State Minister of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Research, Markus Blume, visited the University of Wuerzburg for the opening ceremony of five new laboratories for innovative teaching and research. Professor Silke Grafe, spokesperson of the Competence Center for Digital Teaching and Learning (DigiLLabs@JMU), as well as members of the Chair of School Pedagogy gave insights and impulses.
