On June 14, 2024, members of the interdisciplinary project "ViLeArn_more", funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, organized a collaborative, interdisciplinary project day at the Media Education and Educational Technology Lab (MEET@JMU) at the University of Würzburg. The event involved pre-service teachers from selected seminars of the module "Areas of School Pedagogy in Advanced Form" and focused on the social virtual classroom “ViLeArn”.

Teachers from the Gustav Walle Middle School in Würzburg and the Albiz Eskola in Bilbao explored possibilities of virtual and augmented reality for cultural and language learning in the classroom. The workshop took place on June 6, 2024 in the Media Education and Educational Technology Lab (MEET@JMU) at the Chair of School Pedagogy.

On 18.04. and 25.04.2024, our next professional development workshop for higher education lecturers will take place. It is about using Social Augmented Reality and considering diversity while teaching. The workshop is part of the WueDive pilot project "Virtual Environments" and of the interdisciplinary "ViLeArn_more" project.

In March, 2024, a team from the Chair of School Pedagogy presented results from research projects at this year's international conference of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE) in Las Vegas. The research was conducted also within the projects “ViLeArn_more” and “WueDive”.
