    Pre-Workshop: Individual and Collective Approaches in Adult Education - From Policies to Implementation in Asia and Europe

    Two days in advance of the Adult Education Academy an international workshop is going to take place.

    Time: 1st February 2016 (Monday), 10.00 Registration, 11.00-16.00 & 2nd February 2016 (Tuesday), 9.00-16.00

    Place: Z6 Building, rooms 2.002, 2.004 and 2.006

    Registration: If you intend to join, please register via e-mail (lifelong-learning@uni-wuerzburg.de). Würzburg students please register via sb@home.

    The workshop will create a forum for a joint discussion of differences between Asian and European approaches in adult education. Therefore, policies in adult education and lifelong learning in selected countries will be analyzed. The workhops ask for the assumption of individual and indidualized approaches in European countries and collective and group approaches in Asian countries. The workshop will lay a special focus on India and China.The format of the workshop will integrate short presentations, joint discussion and reflection  phases  together  with  a  joint  analysis  of  selected  policy documents. Scholars and students in adult education and lifelong learning are invited joining the workshop. Exchange students will have the possibility points by providing a reflection report.

    Main Issues

    1. To introduce the overall content that would be discussed throughout the Adult Education Academy
    2. To give an overview about the expectations during the Adult Education Academy and the expected outcomes of the whole Programme.
    3. To make the participants aware about the context of Lifelong Learning in the Asia and Europe
    4. To highlight the similarities and differences in the policies and implementation for Lifelong Learning in Asia and Europe
    5. To know and understand each other and mark the beginning of a creative and productive exercise as a team.
