News at the Professorship for Adult and Continuing Education

Summer Term 2026

After another exciting winter term, we are looking forward to the upcoming summer term 2026.

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr.  Elena Rizova to the Professorship for Adult and Continuing Education as part of a DAAD guest lectureship. She will be offering several seminars in the Master’s program in Adult Education: “Andragogic Didactics and Group Dynamics,” “Lifelong Learning: International Perspectives and Policies,” and “Literacy in Adult Education” 

We also welcome several adjunct faculty members:

• Prof. (H) Dr. Dr. H.c. mult. Heribert Hinzen, who is once again offering a block seminar in the Master’s program this semester on the topic “International Strategies in Lifelong Learning” 
• Dr. Clara Kuhlen and Jenny Fehrenbacher with the seminar “Management in Adult Education, Human Resource Development & Program Planning”
• Dr. Monika Staab with the seminar “Academic Writing in Adult Education”
• Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Pejatovic with the seminar “Competencies and Competence-Oriented Education”

Furthermore, we invite you to numerous guest and practical lectures this semester. You can find all current events on our website or on Instagram as soon as the dates are fixed. As in previous semesters, they promise an exciting insight into adult education and lifelong learning and cover a wide range of topics.

We are now looking forward to the sixth semester of our Double Degree Master's program. We wish the students an exciting stay at our partner universities in Padua and Ljubljana.

We also warmly welcome the students of the new master's program “Adult Education and Management in Lifelong Education” and wish them an enriching semester.Further information on the new master's program can be found here. 

Bachelor's and Master's students as well as doctoral candidates also have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our partner universities and can apply for a scholarship to do so. There is also the opportunity to complete internships abroad at DVV International and its partner institutions in Georgia. Further information can be found under "Study and internship abroad".
