Thesis defended successfully by Maria Seyferth-Zapf

We congratulate Maria Seyferth-Zapf on the successful completion of her dissertation titled “The advancement of intercultural competence using digital media offers and design of media contributions. Practice- and theory-focused development and evaluation of a lesson concept for lower secondary education.”

On 31.01.2024, our former research and teaching assistant Maria Seyferth-Zapf defended her dissertation thesis. The cumulative dissertation was accepted by the Faculty of Human Sciences and so her dissertation project was completed successfully. In her dissertation project, Maria Seyferth-Zapf developed a lesson concept based on theory to advance intercultural competence using digital media offers and the design of media contributions. She realized the pedagogical concept in school practice and evaluated the achievement of objectives.

About the person:

Maria Seyferth-Zapf was a research and teaching assistant at our chair from September 2015 to August 2019. Since then, she has been a researcher and lecturer at the competence center for digital teaching and learning at the University of Bayreuth.
