Presentation of Research Findings at the Symposium “Innovation – and then? Perspectives and Inspiration for the Future of Teaching”
05/24/2024In May 2024, a team from the Chair of School Pedagogy presented the results of various research projects and their future prospects at the symposium “Innovation – and then? Perspectives and inspiration for the future of teaching” organized by QUADIS and WueDive.
As part of the spotlight talk series "ViLeArn3 - Teaching in Social Mixed Reality from a Research, Practice and Development Perspective" in collaboration with the Chair of Human-Computer Interaction, Melanie Hartmann and Tamara Baumann presented results and conclusions from their empirical studies.
The focus was on the presentation of a pedagogical concept for preservice teachers and a professional development concept for teacher educators. Perspectives of diversity and transculturality in connection with media pedagogical questions were highlighted. Moreover, the virtual seminar room used, based on the "ViLeArn by Reality Stack platform", was presented. In this context, the potential of social variants of the mixed reality spectrum for teaching and learning processes was discussed.
In the subsequent discussions with the audience, it became clear that the pedagogical concepts presented, including the virtual seminar room, offer a promising alternative to face-to-face, digital, or hybrid teaching and learning formats. Thus, they provide an innovative perspective and inspiration for the future of teaching and learning in different educational contexts.
