Studying and internships abroad

ERASMUS-studies

The Institute of Education currently has ERASMUS agreements with various European universities. Students at the Institute of Education have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of these partner universities.

The following overview should help you decide which university might be right for you.

1. MoveOn apllication portal

Applications for an Erasmus semester are submitted digitally via the Online-Portal MoveOn.

You can apply via MoveOn from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026, for a semester abroad for the 2026/2027 winter semester and/or the 2027 summer semester.

Applications are only accepted via one department (e.g., Education). You can choose from the respective partner universities (e.g., the partner universities of Education), from which you can specify three preferences in order of priority. Please do not apply for an Erasmus place to different departmental coordinators at the same time!

2. Declaration of acceptance

By mid-February, you will be informed which Erasmus place you have been offered. If you wish to accept this, you must sign a binding declaration of acceptance.

3. Binding entry on MoveOn

After successfully applying through the Institute of Education, you must enter the details of your planned stay in the MoveOn database of the Service Center InterNational Transfer by March 31. The colleagues at the Service Center InterNational Transfer will assist you with any further matters regarding the scholarship, registration in MoveOn, visa questions, etc. Further information can be found on the website of the Service Center InterNational Transfer.

Like the application, the learning agreement is created via the MoveOn Online-Portal  of the Service Center InterNational Transfer.

Please note that at least 20 ECTS credits (at least 50% from the exchange subject) must be recorded in the LA per semester. Of these, 10 ECTS credits must be passed, at least 1 ECTS credit of which must be from the subject in which the mobility takes place. If fewer than 10 ECTS credits or fewer than 1 ECTS credit from the subject are achieved, this must be justified in a written statement.

! Attention !

Please make sure to enter the correct contact details in the “Sending Institution Details” section. For mobility programs through the Chair of Adult Education/Continuing Education, please be sure to select Prof. Regina Egetenmeyer (erasmus.education@uni-wuerzburg.de). The remaining data should be filled in automatically.

The Mobilitätsportal of the Service Center InterNational Transfer provides an overview of the exchange opportunities offered by the University of Würzburg based on contractual agreements. You can also filter by subject, country, and other categories to view a selection that suits your needs.

The professorship of Adult Education/Continuing Education is happy to establish contacts with the international offices of the German Adult Education Association in the following countries:

Please check with the International Office (erasmus-praktikum@uni-wuerzburg.de) to see if there are opportunities for an ERASMUS scholarship as part of an internship.
