Please find here selected scholarship offers for your stay in Würzburg and Padua.

Scholarship Bayhost for postgraduate studies in Bavaria

Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine can apply for the scholarship “Bayhost” from the free state of Bavaria for financing their master studies.  

The deadline for first time applications is in December each year. Please note that only online applications are accepted. For further information, please have a look on the website of the Bayhost scholarship.

Scholarship of the DAAD for graduates

The DAAD offers several scholarships for graduate students in the subject “Language and cultural studies”. The scholarships differ in terms of the funding period, the amount of funding, the applicant criteria (e.g. country of origin, academic achievements, language skills), and the application deadlines.

Special attention should be paid to the scholarships for graduates from East Africa (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda) and West- and Central Africa (Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mauritania). These are part of the scholarship programme "Leadership for Africa"

German public-private scholarship

Students of all nationalities and disciplines can apply for the "Deutschlandstipendium". The prerequisite is enrollment at a state or state-recognized university. 

The online application usually takes place in June. Please inform yourself about the start of the application phase as well as the application conditions on the university's homepage.

European Funding Guide

On the EU-wide funding platform European Funding Guide, students of all nationalities and disciplines can find a scholarship that suits them in a database of 12,000 scholarships.

Financing of the study semester at the University of Padua (Double Degree Variant)

For the study semester at the University of Padua from February to June, you can apply for an ERASMUS scholarship as an enrolled student in the Master's program in Educational Science at the University of Würzburg. The application deadline is the end of October each year. To apply for an ERASMUS scholarship, please submit the following documents: Your enrollment certificate for the Master's degree, proof of your English proficiency (B2), and proof of your completed Bachelor's degree/transcript of records. Please contact erasmus.education@uni-wuerzburg.de until 29.10.2023 for a scholarship application in summer term 2024. The exact application period will be communicated to students well in advance in the respective year.
