The Master's program with English modules is aimed at both students and practitioners who hold a Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) and have basic pedagogical knowledge to the extent of 40 ECTS (further information on admission requirements and application).
The modules offered in English are also aimed at groups of people with little knowledge of German. For this purpose, it is necessary to have a knowledge of English (B2). The necessary basic knowledge of German (A2) can be acquired during the first year of study.
A large proportion of the English modules are offered in hybrid mode. This allows online studies independent of location. In addition, it is also possible to study only individual modules. In this way, we would particularly like to appeal to people who do not wish to study full-time or who are unable to move to Würzburg.
In the context of intensive weeks, however, we invite you to come to Würzburg on selected weeks of the year. As a possible intensive week in Würzburg, we recommend the first week of the semester (14.10.-18.10.2024) to get to know the campus (e.g. library, seminar buildings) and the city. On the other hand, it is recommended to come to Würzburg during the Adult Education Academy, which takes place annually in February (03.02.-14.02.2025). The attendance can support the exchange with the participating students, practitioners and professors as well as provide the opportunity to visit adult and continuing education institutions in Würzburg and the surrounding area. You can study the English Master of Educational Science in two variants: either you attend all English modules in Würzburg or you opt for the double degree program with the University of Padua and spend one semester at the Italian university.
There is also the possibility to attend individual English modules in hybrid mode.
